Where wildlife is part of everyday life
Wildlife & nature
Martha’s Reach sits alongside a 5-acre nature reserve, offering a peaceful haven for an abundance of native wildlife. A wealth of birds, butterflies and dragonflies can be spotted close to home, while the surrounding coastline is home to colonies of seabirds, grey seals and, if you’re lucky, the occasional dolphin or basking shark offshore. Spring brings carpets of wildflowers, summer fills the skies with swallows and swifts, and autumn offers some of the finest birdwatching of the year. Whether you’re an experienced naturalist or simply enjoy the pleasure of watching the natural world unfold, wildlife is never far away.
